Darwin’s Atelier proudly presents Drosera binata “Pink Flower”!

This exceptionally rare variety of Drosera binata stands out for its delicate pink blooms, a striking contrast to the typical white flowers seen in most forms of this species.

Native to Australia and New Zealand, Drosera binata is a perennial, warm-temperate sundew known for its many fascinating varieties — including D. binata “Multifida”, “Multifida Extrema”, “Marston’s Dragon”, and the classic “T-form”. Among them, “Pink Flower” is the rarest form available in the US.

Like other D. binata types, “Pink Flower” slows down during the winter months. While true dormancy isn’t required, the leaves may turn brown and die back completely — but rest assured, the roots remain healthy and new growth will return as the weather warms.

Growing tips:

  • Use a 1:1 mix of peat and sand, or pure sphagnum moss as your growing medium.

  • Ships bare root.
