Sarracenia rosea is a North American pitcher plant, and is carnivorous.  Insects are attracted to the nectar secreted on the lid.  Numerous hair grow downwards on the lid, and guide insects towards the bottom of the trap.  Once falling into the trap, the insects will drawn and get digested.  This particular plant has beautiful crimson red traps with innocent strawberry milk colored flowers.
