Utricularia gibba, aka bladderwort is a rootless aquatic carnivorous plant.  It produces numerous bladders that attract, trap and digest aquatic microbes.  U. gibba shoots up inflorescence with small yellow flowers above the water surface during the summer.  This botanical art depicts the whole plant in the center, then front of the flower, back of the flower, stlyle with sepals, anther, seed, trap filled with prey, and the magnification showing how the traps are attached to the stolons (from left to right).
